One thing about Japanese Tv that fascinates me and I am sure it does you as well, is just how outlandish it is at times. Yes they have good drama shows and sitcoms , along with some fun to watch Sentai. But alot of it by Western standards can be considered politically incorrect and down right racist. The way the "round eye" person is portrayed as the Goof on alot of shows (Ultraman Max is a good example) Unless your a well known Actor like Sean Connery, then they treat you like a God.
I dont think you would have stood up to being the Gai-Saru. But the behind the scene stuff would be interesting.
Working at some of the Sci-Fi conventions and meeting with the Actors, I got to learn alot from how they film the TV shows (Like Battlestar Galactica) I learned I never want to be an Actor ;-)
