For various reasons, and after two weeks of consultations and meetings and tests and forms and visiting every office I'm answerable to... it is official. I GOT THE CREDIT~! I WILL BE GRADUATING IN DECEMBER! And, this semester, I only have one class to take. That class: Intro to Computer Science. It looked like this result would be impossible just a few weeks ago. Now, I'm giddy!

Jeff from the bagel place said he'd call me tomorrow and let me know when he needed people. I had wanted things to turn out like all this, but I had pretty much given up hope. Right now I have more peace of mind than any time since perhaps last November.

My biggest problems now are how to make it to Naka-kon and going for that AEON job I'd been contemplating.

Now, time to dance around the room like a moron!

Wooo!

And if AEON is a teach english in Japan place...I'm not sure if it's the one, but there was a company that a friend of mine warned me about like NO NO NO BAAAAD. It might have been AEON, I'll have to dig through my entries to verify this...but apparently it's hard to find a good agency/company that doesn't actually treat you like shit and overwork you.

I've been contemplating again applying for a CIR position through JET.

The general opinion of the ENTIRE INDUSTRY is that it is all shit and everyone who works in it is shit and they're the scum of the earth and it is hell (the Japanese Business teacher I took a class from at NUFS refered to eikawa senseis as Losers exclusivly)....But it suits my needs and capabilities. It is a short term, realistic position with a salary that one can live off of and will give me the opportunity to further devlop my Japanese speaking skills. I've only studied Japanese for two years so working long hours and being shoved around by a boss is a concession I'd be happy to make to get expirence that will help me become a more employable and experienced Japanese/English speaker. For you, it doesn't make as much sense. For me, I think it fits. I mean, two years ago this week I couldn't even write hiragana. *shrug* But, I don't think I have a chance with JET. I can't charm people and the competetion there is FIERCE. So, AEON has become my first pick. At least it isn't NOVA!

Ooh~ Their website makes them look nice, but I'm not sure I'm qualified enough for a program like that. :/ It's going on the list, though. =D Thank you.
