Happy Costuming Halloween~!

The collar is shotty and needs to be redone, but I used up the entire roll of matching thread I bought for the project so that will have to wait. Also, the fabric type is so unlike the original's it's laughable. I didn't really set out to make something super accurate, just fun, so it doesn't bother me but... It does annoy me when taking and resizing photos. I wore the jacket about town today and was one of the few in any sort of strange clothing. As the mid-day faded into mid-afternoon, I saw a few more orange and black ensembles and a few cat ears/whiskers/etc about. Strangely, it was unseasonably warm today (after two weeks of unseasonable cold) and so it's comfortable out enough that I've opened the window and have set up candles in it. I hope to watch all sorts of drunken escapades from my attic vantage point tonight. No parties for me, but I'll be entertained nonetheless!

Random note: I bought a scale today and weighed myself. No wonder my clothes fit strangely! I'm above the 150lb mark, now. (Height: 5'2") This will change soon. No more eatting at work. My blood is made of cream cheese, now, and that's just not natural.

Oh yeah. Two guys behind me in line at Pita Pit were talking about Stargate. I'm not sure if it was because of me, but...I think it was. Yay! Someone in this vapid town knows a decade and a half long megamillions scifi franchise!











I know a little better what people mean when they say I look like I'm 12 years old, now.
And, the flash on my camera can be a little too intense. I forgot how early the sun sets in October. Oops.

Well done! I've never seen Stargate, but I love the outfit!

I was going to recycle one of my costumes and go out as Angie Thompson from Trauma Center: under the Knife 2, but that didn't happen because I felt like crap today :(

I had to take it to the vet yesterday and made the decision to euthanize. I feel like a murderer, but I couldn't stand to see it suffer through another night only to probably die by morning. I still don't know if I made the right decision. Poor sick baby deserved better than that!

The other sick kitty was my boyfriend who has a cold XD He had gunk in his eye, and I was like "man, you're just like the cat!" so kitten he is! ^^

Atlantis! No wonder I couldn't recognise the jacket, as I've only watched SG-1. Very cool, not to mention accurate. *jealous*

Yeah, and it's only seen in the later seasons of Atlantis, too. *cheats* It could be much more accurate, but I went with the materials that were at hand. *shrug* I'm surprised they don't sell Stargate outfits officially!

You look fantastic! The material, from what I can tell, looks comfy and good for the fall and I agree with the people above- You never cease to amaze with your sewing skills. I really, really, really love your hair. It makes me want to play with it all day long!

Besides making me giggle, I can totally sympathize. I am convinced I am ten different kinds of jamba smoothies tucked nicely behind a layer of skin. But they're so good, so it's hard not to have some. I definitely blame work environments for weight gain. *nods*

Suitings were on sale when I went in to buy needles for my sewing machine two weeks ago. That was my downfall. XD I still don't think this one's very good/accurate. At the very least I've got to redo the collar once I can make to JoAnn's on my bike. I've been sick all week, again. Y_Y There's a scifi con going on across town and I don't have the energy to even go there!

*laugh* It's just so good! Just like last year when I first started working at this bagel place: I thought you were supposed to end up disliking a fast food place when you started working there. I feel cheated. I love bagels now more than ever. Y_Y The baker jokes tht I'm going to have a heart attack by age 30. He may be right. Aren't Jamba Juices really caffinated? Or just sugary? I've never lived near one.
